There is a large number of golf courses waiting for you, either 18-hole – Golf Resort Karlovy Vary, Golf Resort Cihelny, Golf Club Sokolov, Royal Golf Club Marianske Lazne, Golf Club Frantiskovy Lazne Hazlov or 9-hole – Golf & Racing Club Karlovy Vary, Golf Club Klášter Teplá, Golf Club Háje, Golf Club Luby. Lovers of this sport will definitely enjoy themselves here.

Horse ride

Are you interesting in horse riding? We can arrange this for you. In the riding area in Depoltovice you are allways welcome and it does not matter If you are an advanced rider or just a beginner. Beginners can use the service of a professional trainer and reserve some lessons in the riding hall before riding out and exprore the surroundings. Those more experienced can go straight into nature and relax outside the hustle of the town. And when you get hungry after a ride, you may want to enjoy your meal in a pleasant environment of a stylish pub in the equestrian area of the Pegas club.

 

Cycling

Do you love cycling? Then the bike paths in the forests around Karlovy Vary are perfect for you. Thanks to the diverse levels of the paths, everyone can choose here. For the more trained of you, we can recommend one of the bike paths along the river Ohře to nearby towns and villages. It is definitely worth mentioning the route along the unique rock formation Svatošske Skály and the river Ohře to the historic town of Loket. You can also take a bicycle bus up to the Krušné Mountains, where most of the routes lead along the so-called Krušné Mountains Highway. More than 400 km of trails provide a sufficient selection of terrain for recreational and professional cyclists. And after an active day you deserve a rest in our Spa Hotel Schlosspark.

 

Tennis, badminton

If tennis or badminton – whatever is your favorite sport, whether an advanced player or a beginner, we recommend a visit to the Geyser Park complex in Karlovy Vary, the largest racquet sports center in Karlovy Vary, located in a pleasant environment of the Teplá river valley. You can choose from both  – open tennis courts or a covered hall – in Geyser Park you can play throughout the year and in any weather.

Sightseeing flights

Would you like to enjoy the bird’s eye view of our beautiful town and surroundings and are not afraid of heights? Then sightseeing flights are definitely the right choice for you. You can choose from standard air routes to Loket, Cheb or Mariánské Lázně or by agreement you can plan a route according to your ideas. An experienced pilot will recommend you attractions that you should not miss.

 

Skiing

If you are a lover of winter sports, then you will enjoy a visit at the Klínovec Ski Resort in the Ore Mountains, which has been updated a few years ago. We will be happy to arrange a transfer for you there. Don’t you have the necessary equipment with you? Never mind, you can rent everything on site. You can choose from trails of all possible levels and difficulties for downhill skiing or cross-country trails. Recommended also for families with smaller children that will be taken care of by experienced ski instructors. Of course, also the less experienced adults will be taught by instructors.

 

Trips & excursions in the region

You will find some other beautiful towns and historical sights in our surrounding that are worth to visit. For example the famous historical castle Loket and palace Bečov above the river Teplá, sheltering a monument of incalculable value – the Reliquary of St. Maur. Further the cloister and the complex of PremonstratensianTeplá with a beautiful library, palace Kynžvart or palace Chýše with its own brewery. Quite close are also other well known spa towns of so-called spa triangl as Františkovy Lázně or Mariánské Lázně, well known for its singing fontain. And not to forget the famous brewery in Plzeň (Pilsen) with the possibility of beer tasting. We also recommend a visit our capital city Prague, castle Karlštejn or historical town Český Krumlov.

Culture

Spa town Karlovy Vary/Carlsbad is full of cultural and social events during the spa season. Just to mention a few highlights: the grand opening of spa season, food festival, carlsbad carnival  and the world famous film festival, where you can meet many czech and foreign stars and celebrities. Followed by the Jazz Festival and in autumn by the traveller´s festival Caminos. When walking through the spa zone, shopaholics will certainly choose from many well-known fashion brands and jewelry shops, normally available only in metropolises.  It is also worth mentioning the products of the world-famous Moser glassworks and Thun and Benedikt porcelain,  the oldest and largest manufacturers of this range in the Czech Republic. Karlovy Vary’s Becherovka and Spa Wafers belong to the most popular souvenirs.
